International Projects
Over 2006, the e-laser team partecipated to the EuroSDR/ISPRS Tree Extraction test, which was coordinated by the Finnish Geodetic Institute. The objective of this project was to evaluate the quality, accuracy, and feasibility of automatic or semi-automatic tree extraction methods based on high-density laser scanner data and digital image data.
Twelve participants coming from all over the world (The University of Udine is reported in red) partecipated to the test and provided their own tree models.
e-laser researchers obtained very good results in all the tree parameters evaluated. More information about results of this test will be posted soon through our web site!
